AmplifyWorld Partners with SongBits: Igniting Fan Frenzy One Bit at a Time

At AmplifyWorld, we’re always on the lookout for companies and startups that align with our vision. SongBits is our latest partner, embodying our belief that superfans are among the key drivers of the music industry.

So, what is SongBits? This music-first company promises to transform fans into superfan partners by offering them the opportunity to own “bits” of their favourite songs, allowing them to enjoy exclusive perks for as little as a dollar.

Behind SongBits is a veritable who’s who of the music industry. Dave Stewart (Eurythmics, multi-Grammy Award-winning producer and recording artist), along with Russell Sheffield and Justin Sheffield (award-winning music technology entrepreneurs), are the brains behind this Web3 platform. Their goal is to develop a user-friendly web experience that leverages blockchain technology.

So how does it work? Fans can buy “bits” or entire songs using payment methods such as Apple Pay and Google Pay. Through this system, artists set their prices, retain at least 50% of streaming revenues, keep all their rights, and receive payments directly, while fans own the remaining share, along with added perks.

As Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart and SongBits co-founder said, “The world is awash with Web3 music announcements, and that’s a good thing. I’m always thinking about artists and their futures. As well as established artists who want to do things differently, SongBits is yet another step towards the freedoms for the many-as-yet-undiscovered brilliant creators out there.”
