AmplifyWorld Announces $500,000 Artist Fund for Exceptional Musicians at All Levels
As we take the next step in our journey as AmplifyWorld, we’re excited to announce a $500,000 artist fund aimed at supporting forward-thinking musicians and our community, wherever you may be in the world. With streaming royalties, major labels, and governmental funding falling short of truly championing deserving artists, we wanted to put our values and mission into practice through this fund.
After our successful trial at the Isle of Wight Festival, where we sponsored a stage dedicated to up-and-coming musicians, we’re opening up the applications to the public, starting from today.
Musicians from all genres and at any stage can apply for grants ranging from $1,000 to $50,000 to give their careers a boost. To kickstart your application, you need to have a Discord account and a Spotify Artist profile. We’ll also ask you a few questions about your experience in the industry thus far, your goals, and what your project is about.
Here’s what our co-founder, Kasabian drummer Ian Matthews, has to say about this new fund:
“With governments in the UK and the US falling short in supporting musicians, independent players like us have to come up with solutions like this. We wanted to make sure grants were significant enough to really make an impact. That’s why artists can apply for up to $50,000.
So what are we looking for? Simple – we’re looking for artists who not only have exceptional talent and creativity, but also a clear vision and business acumen for using this fund.
Moreover, we’re also seeking artists who share our values, namely innovation and an emphasis on leveraging the power of music to connect people. Grants can cover all music-related expenses, from songwriting and recording to production, marketing, and touring. Additionally, we encourage you to apply for an amount that matches the scope of your project.
Applications are open until September 1, 2024. The shortlisted applicants will then undergo a second round of interviews to cement their case, with the first grantees announced before the end of the year.
Whether you’re a seasoned musician looking to release that long-awaited album or an up-and-coming artist with an avant-garde vision, we want to hear from you!
